What I do

Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves being outside, going for walks with her yellow lab, especially by the ocean or lake, and spending time at her family’s lake house. She enjoys spending time with her husband going to sporting events and exploring new places. Rebecca has volunteered with pet therapy in the Portland area.

Rebecca started working at Jameson Elementary School in the fall of 2017, as the Occupational Therapist servicing special education students in pre-K to 2nd grade. As a school based occupational therapist her role is to help and support students be as successful as possible in their daily occupation of school by identifying areas of need and improving fine and gross motor skills, visual-motor skills, self-regulation, self-help skills and routines, and visual processing.  She feels tremendous joy when a child makes improvements, big or small.

Before working at Jameson Elementary School, Rebecca worked as an Occupational Therapist with children in the outpatient setting for four years. She graduated with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New England (UNE) in 2013. Rebecca attended her first two years of college at the University of Maine, Orono, before transferring to UNE to pursue her passion to help others through Occupational Therapy.
