What I do

Outside of the school day, I enjoy spending time with my family – playing outside with our four boys, exploring new travel destinations, Live music, Army football games, rooting for the Celtics, and all things beach. I’m also a proud supporting member of the Maine School Counselor Association and the American School Counselor Association.

I joined the Jameson team for the 2023-24 school year. I’ve been an elementary school counselor for many years. I earned my Master’s in Counselor Education at the University of Southern Maine in 2012. While balancing graduate studies, I worked for KidsPeace of New England, providing in-home behavioral and therapeutic support for youth clients.

No longer called “guidance counselors, today’s school counselors are more so members of the education team. My role focuses on removing barriers for student success, and nurturing a safe, positive school climate for all. My favorite aspect of school counseling is the community. I love meeting bright-eyed PreK/K students on their first days, and celebrating growth throughout their years here.
